During the spring semester of my 4th year of Architecture school, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Brussels, Belgium. During these three months while traveling around Europe, our class was asked to aid the students of the University of Louven in the redesign of an urban space. Working with the students we found many differences throughout their culture and ours, which helped us look at designing in a new way. Learning from these cultural differences and how much they effect our designs, our class set out every weekend to many different parts of Europe to learn about their cultures and how they go about designing.
